He has danced and competed in Africa, Asia, Europe and North America. In the US, he has taught at numerous festivals including DC Bachata Festival, Tabanka Texas, Seattle Salsa Congress, Tri-Cities Salsa Congress, Mexico City Kizomba Exchange, Afro Creole Miami Festival among others.
Together with his group they have danced and competed in Africa, Asia, Europe and North America. Chris has been a pioneer Kizomba dancer which he immersed himself in while in Kenya and for the past few years he has traveled for shows in many parts of the world to showcase, compete and perform for varied events. In March 2014, he partnered with Sahnnon Urza and won the inaugural Africa Dancar USA in New York. In May, 2014 he made it to the finals of Africa Dancar International in Milan, Italy. He has featured as a Kizomba dancer on live TV in Mexico City while promoting Angolan Kizomba artist Coreon Du’s new single ‘Bailando Kizomba’.
As a group the Kizomba Dancers have responded well to the need for the further development and promotion of culture, performing arts, and entertainment focusing on dance and music internationally. They aim to present the best of African creativity to the widest possible audience in festivals and events as well as cultural exchange performance tours.
